My name is Jean-Luc Dubois and I am currently in my final year of a psychology degree at Portsmouth University. When it came to choosing my third year project I was particularly interested in studying dyslexia after watching two younger brothers grow up with it and helping them learn to read I realised it was a subject that interested me a great deal. I hope therefore to observe and question a number of dyslexic students in order to determine the factors that govern their reading behaviour. I then hope to compare and contrast this with some non dyslexic students results in an attempt to discover what makes them different and suggest further ways that reading material and strategies can be better tailored to specifically help dyslexics.
