Swine Flu Policy
Monday 12 October 2009
In response to the recent media coverage regarding the Swine Flu, we would like to reassure you that at Northease we are taking all sensible and necessary precautions to reduce the possible infection to pupils and staff.
The school has already spoken to the pupils about their hygiene routines and provided each area in school with tissues and bins for safely placing these tissues once they have been used.
We have also taken account of advice and guidance from the Department of Children, Schools and Families, and in accordance with this guidance, if we suspect any child or adult of having flu like symptoms, we would isolate them and send them home as soon as possible. We would then expect the family involved to contact their local GP for further advice and medical assistance. If at any time, swine flu was confirmed, we would contact every parent with up to date information and advice.
Likewise, please do keep us informed if you suspect someone in your family is infected.
