Lewes District Council Olympic Banner

Celebrating ‘2012’ Schools Competition was an Art based competition run by Lewes District Council. Thomas Lindsay Year 8 has just won the competition to design an Olympic banner, and is pictured with Cllr Russell.
Schools were asked to submit entries from students that represented the historic events that were taking place this year - The Queens Diamond Jubilee, the Olympic Torch Procession and the Olympic and Para Olympic Games. The winning entry is to be used across the district to promote their celebratory activities that are marking these historic events.

ISA 2011 Area Art Competition

Northease Manor took part in the ISA 2011 Area Art Competition for the first time this week. The standard of work was exceptionally high and the winners from the area competition are then entered into the National ISA Art Competition which takes place later this year.

I am delighted to say that First Prizes were awarded to Nick Wilkes (over 16 3D), Chloe Hoppen (under 16 3D), Grace Plummer (under 14 3D) and Second Prizes were awarded to Charlie Laughton (under 16 textiles) and Declan Perry (under 16 3D). An oustanding result. Congratulations to all students who took part and to the Mrs Levett and Mrs Barrell for all their hard work in achieving such wonderful results.
We were inspected this week by the Joint Council for Qualifications to report on exam arrangements. We were given the judgement of being an excellent centre. Well done to Suzanne Deeprose, our exams officer for all her hard work.

Year 10 raising funds for tsunami victims.

On Friday 20th May 2011, the year 10s held a fund-raising event to raise
money for the horrific tragedy of the
Japanese tsunami and earthquake.
The amount raised now stands at £300.57!!
