Pastoral Care

A comprehensive pastoral support scheme for all students is run under the guidance of our Head of Boarding and Pastoral Support. The scheme is supported by all staff, particularly tutors and houseparents.

Students develop strong relationships with their personal Tutors who work closely with them in order to provide guidance and understanding. Tutor groups meet each Monday morning to prepare for the week ahead, take lunch together every day and join other students in the same year groups for the PSHE programme.

At Northease we believe in a close working partnership between home and school. There is regular contact between tutors and parents and a continuous monitoring system that keeps parents informed of progress and achievement. As well as the usual formal reports and parent meetings, we offer regular workshops to enable parents and carers to help their children and support each other.
